Asheville, NC - The Search Committee of the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina is pleased to announce that Ms. Elizabeth Brazas has been selected as the President and CEO, effective October 1, 2009.

Ms. Brazas brings more than 16 years of experience in legal, wealth management and philanthropic consultation services primarily in the Southeast and Eastern areas of the country. Most recently she served as a Client Services Officer for a firm in Washington State that catered to high net worth clientele. Prior to that position she served as Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Team Leader for Wachovia Bank in Roanoke, VA. As a wealth strategist, Ms. Brazas helped create investment models for her clients as well as charitable objectives. Over her career she has been involved in many philanthropic volunteer activities including Davidson College Alumni, Habitat for Humanity, United Way and various local community organizations including an educational foundation.

Ms. Brazas received her J.D. from University of South Carolina and her B.A. from Davidson College.
