Madison, WI - Access Community Health Centers in Madison, Wisconsin, is pleased to announce that they have selected Mr. George E. Barton as their Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Barton will be responsible in leading and directing this nearly 30 year old organization, which provides medical, dental and behavioral health services to nearly 20,000 individuals at four sites annually.

Mr. Barton was most recently the Chief Executive Officer at Community Health Care, Inc., located in Davenport, Iowa, a position he assumed in 2006 when he was promoted from Chief Operating Officer. He has also served in volunteer leadership positions for the Iowa/Nebraska Primary Care Association, Illinois Primary Care Association and the National Association of Community Health Center.

Mr. Barton was the Program Manager at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Epidemiologist at the State Connecticut Department of Public Health and Program Coordinator at Yale University. He earned his Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Connecticut in the studies of Sociology and Public Policy.

Mr. Barton begins his duties on March 15, 2010.
